DESCRIPTION:
A beautiful single-place, fully
enclosed gyroplane,
about 98% complete, with a VW-1600 4-cylinder/4-cycle 60 hp engine!
N37897, Serial #00135. Gyro was built of 4130 steel tubing
covered with Alclad aluminum and fiberglass. Has brand new
Rotordyne
rotorblades (23-ft. diameter), a belt-driven prerotator, a new
wooden prop, a 12V electrical system with generator and
regulator, wheel pants.
This gyroplane is nearly complete and only requires a new
rotorhead ($579 from
Vortech),
and the mounting and balancing of main rotor blades. Also,
Plexiglas windshield needs to be cleaned or replaced. Original
rotorhead (included) was only intended for flight of the gyro as
a glider.
The aircraft is in excellent
condition, has never been damaged and has always been stored
indoors. Flown briefly only as a glider. Comes with a custom, road-ready trailer
that lowers hydraulically; trailer has a value of $1,000. Located in
Illinois. An exceptional value! Special note: this
unique and beautiful aircraft was pictured in the 1982-83
edition of the famous aviation reference book, Jane's All The
World's Aircraft.
