G1 Ultralight Helicopter—Complete
DESCRIPTION:
This is a
complete G1 ultralight helicopter, containing all parts
and components, but requiring work and adjustments. This G1 is a
somewhat scaled-up version of the original G1 ultralight
helicopter. Inlcudes the frame with seat, engine (60hp
triple-carb Kawasaki
650),
all-aluminum 8" main & 2.75" tail rotor-blades,
instrumentation (temp guage, tach, main rotor speed guage). All items
have only had brief use for testing and are ready for immediate pickup or shipment (from
Pennsylvania). Very good condition; always stored indoors.
Completion of this helicopter requires rebuild of tail-rotor
mechanism and various adjustments.
According to builder, the drive system pulleys, clutch and
tail-rotor bearings need reworking. Drive belts begin to slip
around 5500 engine RPMs and a reduction-drive and/or cog-belt
drive may need to be added. Bearing mounting holes are slightly
oversize and need adjustment. New and possibly heavier-duty
bearings may be needed.
