An upgraded experimental:
SCORPION-133 Two-Seat Helicopter—Complete!
Scorpion-133 two-seat helicopter, complete. Originally built in 1978,
has been recently rebuilt and upgraded,
including installation of a RotorWay Exec elastomeric rotorhead
(a major upgrade!). The engine is the 4-cycle RW133 with
rebuilt carbs. Engine runs well. Other upgrades
include new rotorblades (still in crate), new rotor shaft, new
bearings, new gauges, new magneto, new belts, new hoses, new
aluminum radiator. Also includes the following extra
parts: a fiberglass cab, drive pulleys, sprag
clutches (2), extra hoizontal stabilizers, seats, instrument
panel (blank), sprockets for chain drive (2), original rotorhead
with swash plate, airframe, plus a number of other miscellaneous
parts worth thousands. Almost enough for a second Scorpion!
Helicopter features: RotorWay Exec elastomeric
rotorhead and swashplate; dual controls (needs a passenger-side
cyclic stick); full
instrumentation; ground-handling wheels; manuals and prints. Once
rotorblades are re-mounted (removed for storage) helicopter will
be completely assembled. Very good condition; always stored indoors.
Passenger seat does not have its cushion (replacement can be
found on the web). Color scheme: yellow cab, black frame, silver
rotorblades with yellow tips. About 20hrs TT. Previous
owner of helicopter is deceased; current owner (brother) not
interested in flying.
Virtually all components are included for flight. Making
helicopter flyable mostly involves mounting the new rotorblades
and having a qualified mechanic determine that it's flight-ready. Located in
Virginia near Roanoke. Delivery possible for a fee, depending on distance.
