DESCRIPTION:
SAFARI 2-seat helicopter, 1997 model. Helicopter was
built and flown prior to 2014. In 2014 the helicopter was
completely disassembled, then rebuilt from the frame up. This
was completed 2022. The rebuild included all new bearings and
seals in the transmission, strengthened sleeves on the main
shaft, a new tuned exhaust system, a new carburetor heat system,
a new cabin heat system, new seats and fresh paint. The
helicopter has
composite main rotorblades and stainless-steel
tail rotorblades. Powered by a 160hp Lycoming O320-D2J
engine with only 239 hours since a complete rebuild; engine was
last run May 2022 and can be run for a prospective buyer.

Full
instrumentation; avionics (Microair M760 transceiver, Intercom
minus headphones, ELT); dual controls; doors; heater (cabin and carburetor,
both electronically controlled); lighting
(LED nav., landing, strobe and instrument); all logs (written +
photos),
prints and manuals. Helicopter is in very good condition; no rust or corrosion; never damaged. Always
hangared. Color scheme: red and yellow with grey interior. The
vibration-reducing upgrades for the main frame and tailboom have
been completed. Also available: a rebuilt
road-ready trailer with LED lights, electric brakes,
low-mileage tires, and an electric winch and rear ramp for
easily loading the helicopter ($2,500 extra).
Flight Readiness: Making helicopter mechanically
flight-ready primarily involves tracking and balancing the
rotorblades. Provides all the performance of
an R22 at a fraction of the cost.
